Web Polygraph software and IRCache cache-off activities spur a series of proxy benchmarking events. Some of the tests have questionable quality. Polyteam is worried that badly conducted tests have negative affect on Polygraph reputation and jeopardize the trust in benchmarking among the members of the already sceptical caching community. It is our belief that fair and meaningful benchmarking is possible. We strive to bring the order into the chaotic world of wild performance claims and FUD wars.

These pages give our opinion on benchmarking activities. We hope that an independent view of Polygraph developers would be useful to the caching community and will reduce the number of benchmarking mishaps. We intend to continue this watchdog activity.
